Configuration Options
Clayton offers three styles of feedwater tanks. Our Open System, often referred to as a Hotwell, a Deaerator, and s Semi-Closer Receiver Our Open system uses anon-pressurized tank to mix steam, chemicals, and water before feeding it into the steam generator. It removes dissolved gases from the feedwater and is affordable, easy to heat up, and has few external components.
The Deaerator heat feedwater and remove gases like oxygen using a pressurized tank with internal agitation devices. They use steam, return condensate, or generator trap returns for heat. Deaerators are excellent for applications with high amounts of oxygen in the water, and they reduce chemical usage and make better use of heat.
Our final system, the Semi-Closed Receiver is ideal for applications with levels of high pressure condensate return. In this system, high-temperature condensate is returned to a pressurized tank to preserve heat. Low-temperature water and makeup water are sent to a separate atmospheric tank, and then pumped to the pressurized one. The steam generator receives its feedwater from the pressurized tank.
With 24/7 availability and extensive coverage throughout the United States and beyond, our skilled professionals are equipped to keep your steam generator operating at peak performance.
