150 - 2000 BHP E-Series
Clayton’s E-Series boilers are a world leader in innovative steam technology. With sizes ranging from 150 to over 1000 Boiler Horsepower, and capable of delivering pressures as high at 3000 PSI, the E-Series is the perfect pairing to your next industrial application.
The E-Series design centres around our patented counterflow heat exchanger system, the only one of its kind available on the market. In a Clayton Steam Generator, water flows downward through rising combustion gases through a single continues tube. Rather than allowing the water to flow by natural circulation, Clayton controls the flow of water, as well as the firing rate of our combustion chamber, which we keep in perfect sync. This practise provides optimal heat transfer and completely maximizing efficiency, making Clayton the only true counter-flow design on the market.
Another feature of our design is our patented mechanical steam separator. Designed to minimize moisture, the separator is capable of producing a reliable and constant supply of quality steam with less than half a percent of moisture content.
Clayton’s unique configuration also allows us to take up less than one third of the floor space when compared to a traditional boiler design. Our design also allows for an inherent level of safety that isn’t possible with traditional firetube designs, completely eliminating the possibility of a deadly steam explosion.
With it’s high efficiency, inherent safety, and low cost of ownership, you can trust in Clayton’s E-Series boiler to provide a reliable, quality source of steam for your next application.

Superheated Steam Generators (200 to 3,000 BHP)
Clayton Industries manufactures a line of Superheated Steam Generators for sale and rental. These superheated controlled circulation steam boiler systems provide superheated steam to fit your industrial boiler and steam generations system specifications. Clayton’s superheated steam boilers use the same proven design as the basic Clayton dry steam generators that produce saturated steam, but with the addition of an integral steam superheating section to the helical coil. The use of the integral superheating section eliminates the need for a separately fired superheater. Our complete Superheated line is available as medium-pressure and high-pressure steam boilers for sale.
These superheated industrial steam boilers can be configured in the boiler manufacturing process to allow the user the option to provide saturated steam or superheated steam. These units can provide superheated steam at pressures up to 850 psig (57 bar) and at temperatures up to 650°F (343°C).
Clayton Industries’ superheated commercial steam boilers provide superheated steam for a variety of industrial applications as auxiliary boilers in power plants and wherever superheated steam is required. The quick startup of these superheated boilers makes them your ideal choice for startup boilers for gland sealing in combined cycle power plants. Since superheated steam generators are essentially the same as saturated steam units with additional heating sections, they provide the same advantages. Some benefits of using them as power plant auxiliary boilers include:
- Rapid startup: quick-start boiler starts quickly from a cold state to full output in 20 minutes
- Fast response to load swings
- Compact design: fits in a smaller area
- High degree of operator safety: Clayton Industries’ non-explosive design makes operation safe
- Low maintenance: due to a single burner
With 24/7 availability and extensive coverage throughout the United States and beyond, our skilled professionals are equipped to keep your steam generator operating at peak performance.

Design Features
Clayton Steam Generator once-through, forced-flow water tube boilers (coil tube boiler) use a steel helical coil heat exchanger.
The Clayton Feedwater Pump is a pack-less and seal-less positive displacement type oil reservoir and diaphragm pump.
A counterflow monotube Heat Exchanger is at the heart of Clayton’s design. Heat is transferred from the combustion gases to the feedwater via this unique spiral-wound coil.
Temperature and moisture control are paramount to almost all manufacturing processes. Clayton’ fixed-vane separator design helps maintain process stability by providing constant high-quality steam throughout its operating range.
A variety of configurations are available for customizing your Clayton commercial steam generation system to your specific needs.
Clayton Industries offers two types of emission reduction systems to meet local air regulations and customer operating parameters.
